Location: Auburn Police Department Range (Opelika, AL)

This course will take your level of efficiency in handling a semi-auto pistol and AR style carbine to new heights. Participants will develop practical shooting skills with a strong focus on learning how to fight effectively with either platform at close to intermediate distances! Participants should be prepared to physically exert themselves during this course as we will build up to a stress fire exercise at the end of class.

In addition to the fundamentals of marksmanship some of the topics covered during this course will include:


• Carbine Zero and mechanical offset. 


• Reloads and malfunction clearance procedures. 


• Shooting on the move primer.


• Performance Shooting Concepts. 


• Dry fire, skill development concepts. 


• Weapons transitions, carbine/pistol.


• Proper use of sling. 

Required equipment:

Range fee - included with course fee.
Semi-Automatic Pistol, with a minimum recommended capacity of 15 rounds.

Semi-Automatic Carbine, with sling attached.
Minimum of 3 magazines for the pistol and carbine.
Open top, non-collapsing holster and at least one magazine pouch for each platform carried on beltline.
Belt suitable for securely support all equipment.
600 rounds of pistol ammo / 600 rounds of carbine ammo.

5 Dummy round/snap caps in your firearms caliber, both pistol and carbine.
Note taking material.
Open mind and a positive attitude.
Hydration and snacks.

No Blackhawk Serpa (including variants) or collapsible nylon holsters please.
